Pengelolaan Masjid Agung Islamic Center Sebagai Objek Wisata Religi Di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

This research is motivated by the current time Indonesia is promoting the
tourism sector. One of the tourist attractions that are widely developed at this
time is religious or religious tourism. One of the existing and most famous
religious tourism in Riau province is the Islamic Center Grand Mosque religious
tour located in Rokan Hulu Regency. With all its facilities and attractions, The
Great Mosque of Islamic Center Rokan Hulu regency became the best mosque in
Indonesia in 2015 according to the assessment that has been done by the Ministry
of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (KEMENAG RI).
This study aims to find out the management of the Great Mosque of
Islamic Center as a religious tourist attraction in Rokan Hulu Regency and see
what are the factors that become the attraction of religious tourism objects in
Rokan Hulu Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method
approach. The primary data is obtained directly through interviews from
informants, namely the Manager of the Great Mosque of Islamic Center, Tourists,
and the surrounding Community.
The results of this study show that the management of The Agung Islamic
Center Mosque of Rokan Hulu Regency has not referred to the concept of
religious tourism management with various indicators. The facilities available
have not met the indicators as a religious tourist attraction.
