Implementasi Metode Frame Difference Untuk Mendeteksi Kecepatan Kendaraan Bermotor Di Universitas Riau
Motorcycles are vehicles that we commonly encounter in this modern era. Riding a motorbike at high speed is an act of violation as indicated in the Government Regulation through the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Number 111 of 2015 concerning the setting of speed limits. Driving at high speed also poses a high risk of accidents. In the Riau University campus area there are still frequent cases of motorized accidents caused by high driving speed. This is due to the lack of supervision in the campus street area. Therefore, this video-based motorcycle speed detection system was created in the hope of helping in supervising motorcyclists in the Riau University area. The system created is a prototype and not a ready-to-use system. The system is built on a Raspberry pi 3 model B with Python 3 programming language. The method used to recognize motorized vehicles and calculate speed is the frame difference method. The research was conducted in the entrance area of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau. The test is carried out by three factors which include light intensity, the height of the camera position and the angle of the camera tilt to the road. The system test results show that in the morning with light intensity between 3000 Lux - 4000 Lux the system can provide excellent performance and achieve an accuracy of 93,34%. Whereas in the afternoon with light intensity between 1500 Lux - 1600 Lux the system can provide an accuracy of 86,67%. This shows that the intensity of light greatly affects the system in detecting the speed of motorized vehicles.
