Pemanfaatan Membran Keramik Berbahan Tanah Liat Dan Fly Ash Batubara Untuk Penyisihan Warna Dan Zat Organik Pada Air Gambut
The supply of clean water in Riau Province can only reach urban areas, thus encouraging some people in rural areas to use peat water to meet their needs. Peat water does not meet the specified clean water quality standards because it has the characteristics of a brownish red color, low acidity and high organic matter content. This study aims to treat peat water using a ceramic membrane filtration process from clay and coal fly ash to remove color and organic matter so that it can meet the specified quality standards. This research was conducted by determining the material composition and combustion temperature of the best ceramic membrane with variations in the composition of the material is TL:FA (60:40; 50:50; 40:60) % and sintering temperature (750; 800; 850) oC, and also calculating the flow rate (flux). The best material composition and sintering temperature were obtained at the composition of 50% TL: 50% FA and a temperature of 850 oC with the removal efficiency of color and organic matter were obtained respectively at 98.70% and 94.35%, while the highest flux values were obtained on ceramic membranes with composition of 40% TL : 60% FA and a sintering temperature of 850 oC which is 0.96 L/m2.h.
