Pengaruh Masa Penyimpanan Entres Menggunakan Pelepah Pisang Terhadap Pertumbuhan Tunas Jeruk Nipis (Citrus Aurantifolia) Hasil Okulasi
ABSTRACT
Lime is the third most important fruit in Indonesia after bananas and mangoes. Propagation need to be done through the process of quality such as by grafting. Propagation of plants by grafting, is often constrained in the process of work, among others, due to the low quality of the shoots. The decline in the quality of the shoots occurred due to the long distance between the grafting site and the source of the parent tree, the number of seeds to be grafted was very large and it took a long time from taking the shoots to the attachment process, so efforts were needed to maintain the quality of the shoots, one of which could be done by storing the shoots. using banana fronds, The goal is that the freshness of the entres can be maintained for a long time. The study used a completely randomized design with shelf life treatment, namely 0 days without storage, 3 days of storage, 6 days of storage, 9 days of storage and 12 days of storage. Parameters observed were the percentage of successful grafting, time of shoot emergence, shoot length, number of leaves and growth appearance. The results showed that the 6-day storage treatment gave the best growth of grafted lime seedlings.
