Pengaruh Giberelin Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiata L.) Pada Jarak Tanam Yang Berbeda
ABSTRACT
This research aimed to determine the primary effect of gibberellin concentration and plant spacing, the effect of the best gibberellin concentration at the same plant spacing and the effect of the best plant spacing at the same gibberellin concentration towards the growth and yield of mung bean plants. The research was conducted in the Experimental Field at Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research used a split plot design arranged according to randomized block design (RBD). The whole-plot factor was the gibberellin concentration (GA3), consisting of four levels: without gibberellin treatment (0 ppm), 50 ppm, 100 ppm and 150 ppm. The split-plot factor was the plant spacing consisting of three levels: 30 cm x 10 cm, 30 cm x 15 cm and 30 cm x 30 cm. The significant data from the variance analysis were tested further with the Honestly Significant Differences (HSD) at the level of 5%. The results showed an interaction on parameters of plant height, length of main stem internodes, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant and number of seeds per pod. However, there was no interaction on parameters of flowering age, harvesting age, percentage of well-seeded pods, the weight of 100 seeds and seeds weight per m2. The gibberellin treatment of 50 ppm showed the number of pods per plant and the number of seeds per plant which were higher and increased the weight of mung bean seeds per m2. The treatment of plant spacing of 30 cm x 15 cm indicated the number of seeds per plant and the number of seeds per pod which were higher and increased the percentage of well-seeded pods.
