Eksplorasi Dan Inventarisasi Jenis-Jenis Bambu (Poaceae-Bambusoidae) Di Kabupaten Kampar
ABSTRACT
Bamboo is plant of the family Poaceae sub-family Bambusoideae, in
Indonesian species number of bamboo found reaches 161 species or
approximately 11.5% of the totally species of bamboo in the world. Kampar
Regency is located in Riau Province with geographical conditions located in the
middle of Sumatra Island, like this bumpy areas, lowlands, highlands or hills, and
swamps, which makes Kampar Regency rich in biodiversity. This research is an
explorative descriptive research that is retrieval technique by looking for bamboo
that wild grows or cultivated bamboo in Kampar Regency, after that describe its
character. Collection is done by means of exploration, field observation and
documentation. The results of research in Kampar Regency obtained 15 species
and 2 varieties (waminii and striata) consisting of 5 clans (Bambusa,
Dendrocalamus, Gigantochloa, Schizostachyum, and Thyrsostachys) That is:
Bambusa glaucophylla, Bambusa multiplex, Bambusa vulgaris, Bambusa vugaris
var. striata, Bambusa vulgaris var. waminii, Dendrocalamus asper, Gigantochloa
hasskarliana, Gigantochloa kuring, Gigantochloa nigrocilliata, Gigantochloa
pruriens, Schizostachyum brachycladum, Schizostachyum mampouw,
Schizostachyum sillicatum, Schizostachyum zollingeri, and Thyrsostachys
siamensis).
