Pertumbuhan Dan Laju Eksploitasi Ikan Motan (Thynnichthys Thynnoides Bleeker, 1852) Di Danau Oxbow Lubuk Siam Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar
Abstract
Thynnichthys thynnoides is one of common capture fish that inhabit the
Lubuk Siam Lake. A study aims to assess growth and exploitation rates of that
fish was conducted from November 2019 to March 2020. Fish was sampled once
in 2 weeks for 3 months at 3 sampling points, using gill nets. Data were analyzed
by an ELEFAN I method, FiSAT II ( FAO-ICLARM Fish Stock Assesment Tool)
software. There were 135 fishes captured. Results shown that the growth pattern
of the fish was negative allometric. The length frequency distribution ranged from
171 to 276 mm. Results of Von Bertalanffy growth equation shown that Lt =
283.50 ( 1- e 1.3 (t+ 0.1124) ) which means the asymptothed length (L of T.
thynnoides was 283.50, growth coeficient (K) of 1.3 per year and the theoretical
age (t0) of the fish is equal to 0.1124. Total mortality (Z) of the fish was 5.01 per
year. Estimation of natural mortality rate (M) of the fish was 1.31 per year and
mortality due to catch (F) was 3.88 per year, The exploitation rate (E) of the fish
was 0.77 and it is exceeds the optimum rate which is 0.50.
