Kandungan Logam Berat (Pb, Cd) Dalam Air Dan Dua Jenis Ikan (Hemibagrus Nemurus Dan Osteochilus Pleurotaenia) Di Outlet Waduk Plta Koto Panjang
ABSTRACT
The presence of heavy metals in the water may affects the organs of fish
living in thas the metal maight be accumulated in fish tissue. A study aims to
determine the content Pb and Cd in the water and in the organs Hemibagrus
nemurus and Osteochilus pleurotaenia from the Koto Panjang Dam was
conducted at August-December 2020. The water was sampled 2 times, as well as
fish samples. Parameters measured wer temperature, pH, depth, brightness, DO
and CO2. While the heavy metals content was examined in the gill, kidney and
muscle and they were analyzed using an AAS. Results shown that the average of
Pb and Cd content in the water was 0.021 mg/L and 0.009 mg/L. In the H.
nemurus, Pb content in the gill, kidney and muscle were 0.0262, 0.0325 and
0.0075 mg/kg respectively, while those of the Cd were 0.0084, 0.0085 and 0.0052
mg/ kg. In O. pleurotaenia Pb content in the gill, kidney and muscle were 0.0062,
0.0114 and 0.0034 respectively, while those of the Cd were 0.0036, 0.0151 and
0.0027 mg/kg. The heavy metal content in the water was under the standard
values stated in PP RI No. 82 (2001). Based on the SNI 7387:2009 standard
value, the heavy metal content in the fish organs was categorized as low and the
fish can be safely consumed.
