Pembangunan Pemasaran Pariwisata Oleh Dinas Pariwisata Pemuda Dan Olahraga Kota Bukittinggi Tahun 2018
This study aims to describe how the development of tourism marketing
carried out by the Bukittinggi City Government, especially the Youth and Sports
Tourism Office in increasing the number of tourist visits. This research is
motivated by the increasing number of tourist visits every year, especially
domestic tourist visits in 2018. Therefore, the focus of this research is to see how
the implementation of tourism marketing cooperation and promotion programs in
the development of tourism marketing in Bukittinggi City is carried out by the
City Youth and Sports Tourism Office. Bukittinggi in 2018 and what factors
influence the implementation of the tourism marketing and cooperation promotion
program in tourism marketing development faced by the Bukittinggi City Youth
and Sports Tourism Office.
This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research.
Sources of data in this study are research informants and documents. Data
collection techniques were carried out by interview and documentation. This
study uses the Marketing Mix paradigm, namely the form of promotional
strategies carried out such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations,
personal selling, and direct selling, which were proposed by Phillip Kotler.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the
implementation of the tourism marketing cooperation and promotion program in
the development of tourism marketing that has been carried out by the Bukittinggi
City Youth and Sports Tourism Office has been running effectively. Because the
achievement of the program is to increase the number of tourist visits to
Bukittinggi City which has been seen every year. The factors that influence the
implementation of promotional activities are the limited number of human
resources available at the Bikittinggi City Youth and Sports Tourism Office and
also the limited budget provided by the Regional Government for the tourism
sector in Bukittinggi City.
