Pengaruh Penyuntikan Hcg Dan Ovaprim Dengan Dosis Yang Berbeda Terhadap Ovulasi Dan Penetasan Telur Ikan Dokun (Barbodes Lateristriga Val.1842)
Abstrack
Dokun fish or kapiu (Barbodes lateristriga) is a fish that has the potential to be developed and
can be used as ornamental fish. This study aims to determine the effect of injection of Ovaprim
and hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) with different doses and determine the correct dose
to produce superior egg quality. The research method used an experimental method with the
treatment of injecting different doses of ovaprim and hcg on the test fish with 3 replications in
order to obtain 12 experimental units. Injection treatment with PO (ovaprim 0.6 ml / kg), P1:
(hCG 350 IU / kg and Ovaprim 0.6 ml / kg), P2 (hCG 450 IU / kg and Ovaprim 0.6 ml / kg) , P3
(hCG 550 IU / kg and Ovaprim 0.6 ml / kg). The test fish used in this study were brood stock of
dokun fish from the Kampar river with a weight ranging from 13 - 27g and kept in a 60 x 40 x 40
cm aquarium with 2 units fed earthworms. The day before the fish is injected, the fish is fasted
with the aim of reducing the fecal content in the fish's body so that the feces do not come out and
do not interfere with the stripping process. The injection was carried out twice intra-musculer
with an interval of 6 hours. The first injection used hCG at 22.00 WIB and the second injection
used ovaprim at 04.00 WIB. The results showed that the injection of ovaprim and HcG with the
highest different doses was P2 which resulted in a latency time of 8 hours 6 minutes, the number
of striped eggs an average of 8 eggs / gram of broodstock, the average degree of conception was
55.61%, Index Value Ovisomatic (IOS) was 1.62%, and the increase in egg maturity was 27%.
