Optimalisasi Sensitivitas Sensor Linear Variable Differential Transformer Dengan Bahan Soft Magnetic Vitrovac
ABSTRACT
Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) is a positioning and
displacement sensor that is widely used in the industrial field because it has
extreme heat resistance, high accuracy, excitation and precision and has a
relatively small sensitivity level of 61.8 mV/mm. In this study the sensitivity of
LVDT sensor can be increased using vitrovac soft magnetic material 6025F
(width wvit = 2.5mm and thickness tvit = 20m) with relatively high permeability
(μr ~ 105). The methods used are spiralling Vitrovac on LVDT cores with a length
of 550 mm and 39 coils, measurement of LVDT sensor linearity test and
temperature influence test measurement of LVDT sensor sensitivity. Data
processing was performed by a multi I/O Card PCI 6251 National Instrument
based on LabVIEW software as a data acquisition system. Linearity test
measurement results in the form of output voltage as a function of core
displacement with a maximum distance of 10mm and phase shift at an
amplitude of 100 mV – 1000 mV. The most optimum rectifier obtained at an
amplitude of 0.5 V is produced by a frequency of 5 KHz and phase -10 with a
sensitivity value of 67.6 mV/mm. Measurements at an amplitude of 0.6 V also
have an optimum rectifier at 7 KHz frequencies and a phase -10 of 72.9 mV/mm.
Other optimum conditions located at zero cross points are at an amplitude of 0.7V
with each frequency resulting in a intersection at the zero cross point. The largest
sensitivities obtained at 5 KHz, 6 KHz, and 7 KHz frequencies are 99.8 mV/mm,
94.4 mV/mm and 89.3 mV/mm respectively. Phase shifts resulting in the highest
sensitivity with frequencies of 5 KHz and 6 KHz respectively are at -10, while
the frequency of 7 KHz is -5. Based on these results, it was tested in comparison
of vitrovac-coated cores with no Vitrovac, where the sensitivity produced by
Vitrovac-coated cores increased by 8.18%. The study used COMSOL
Multiphysics to simulate the force lines produced from LVDT sensors by
comparing vitrovac soft magnetic material cores with Iron.
