Sintesis Dan Karakterisasi Partikel Zno Yang Disintesis Menggunakan Ekstrak Kulit Buah Nanas Sebagai Biostabilizer Dengan Variasi Suhu Penumbuhan
Abstract
Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a metal oxide semiconductor that has a wide range of
applications in many fields and can be easily produced in various microstructure.
The fabrication of ZnO particle through green synthesis method was chosen as an
alternative to replace chemical and physical methods, Green synthesis use natural
ingredients derived from plant extracts. In this study, ZnO was synthesized using
pineapple (Ananas comosus) peel extract by varying growth temperature, namely
at 29˚C, 40˚C, 60˚C and 80˚C. UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM (Scanning Electron
Microscopy), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) and FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared)
spectroscopy were chosen in order to determine the optical absorbance, surface
morphology, crystal structure and functional groups of ZnO samples. Based on
the results of the UV-Vis spectrum, the absorbance peak of the ZnO sample is in
the range of 300-361 nm and the band gap energy value varies from 3.24 to 3.27
eV. The SEM surface morphology shows flower-shaped particles of ZnO powder
with the smallest size of 271 nm obtained in samples with a growth temperature of
80˚C. The diffraction pattern shows that the strongest diffraction peak at 60˚C
from (101) hkl plane with a crystal size of 16.11 nm. The FTIR spectrum shows
the functional groups present in the sample, such as C=C, C=O and O-H derived
from polyphenol compounds in the synthesis process and confirms Zn-O bound at
the wavenumber of 483 cm-1.
