Karakteristik Morfometrik Ikan Baung (Hemibagrus Hoevenii, Bleeker 1846) Di Desa Langgam Dan Tambak, Sungai Kampar, Provinsi Riau
Kampar River is one of the flooded swamp areas in Riau Province. Hemibagrus
hoevenii is one of the most abundant fauna in the Kampar River. One of the
important keys in fish identification is the morphometric character. The study was
conducted to determine the morphometric differences of male and female H.
hoeveniifish in Langgam and Tambak Village, Kampar River using a survey
method with a total sample of 120 fish with 60 male and 60 female fish in each
research location. Male H. hoevenii fish in Langgam village had a total length
range of 118-214 mm and females 129-223 mm, while the range of male H.
hoeveniii in Tambak Village was 140-231 mm and females 130-270 mm. The t
test results show that there are several differences between male and female H.
hoevenii characters in Langgam and Tambak villages, such as standard length
character, preanal length, predorsal length, prepelvic length, prepectoral length,
adipose fin length, pectoral spine length, post adipose distance, head width, head
depth, and eye diameter.
