Faktor–Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Soda Carry Over Di Tahap Unbleach Pada Fiberline #2 Di Pt Rapp
ABSTRACT
Soda carry over is the amount of sodium (natrium) that is still contained in the pulp
leaving the digester. This sodium comes from (white liquor) which is used as cooking
liqour in the digester unit. The content of white leachate (white liqour) which consist
of Na2S and NaOH. Sodium, which is one of the active substances in white liquor,
penetrate into the pulp to dissolve other components as lignin in wood besides
cellulose at the cooking stage. Sodium and other components dissolved in the cooking
liquid will be washed during the washing stage. Washing consists of several stages,
namely, deknoting, washing, screening, and oxygen delignification. The research was
conducted on the washing process at PT RAPP's Fiberline #2, to determine and
prove the factors that influence the unbleach stages to soda carry-over. Based on
primary data taken from laboratory experiment, factor which impact to soda carry
over is variation from water quantity show by 96% linear regression. Other factor for
soda carry over, taken by from process observation as secondary data. The result are
volume displacement with 88% linear regression, consistency inlet with linear
regression 94%, outlet consistency with linear regression 83% and diluton factor
with linear regression 55%. It can be seen that the linear regression of each factor
shows that the factor affects the soda carry over as much as the regression value and
the rest is influenced by other variables.
