Faktor-Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Kappa Reduction Fiberline #1 (Dissolving Pulp)

ABSTRACT
Oxygen Delignification (ODL) aims to reduce the Kappa number after the cooking
process in the Digester. The kappa number is defined as the percentage of lignin
left in the pulp. In the Fiberline 1 ODL stage, the Kappa Number was reduced from
1,764% to 0.735% lignin. The decrease in Kappa Number occurs in the O2 reactor
by using O2 chemicals to degrade lignin and Alkali to create an alkaline atmosphere
and dissolve lignin. One of the parameters that determines the success of ODL is
the Kappa Reduction, which is a number that shows how much reduction of Kappa
Number from Pre O2 to Post O2 delignification in percentage. This research was
conducted at PT. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper in the RiauPulp department
Fiberline business unit with the title "Factors that influence Kappa Reduction in
Dissolving Pulp Fiberline 1". The research data consisted of 60 data from
November 2020 to December 2020 to be analyzed. This study aims to determine
what factors affect Kappa number reduction. The oxygen delignification process
can be optimized by controlling several factors, namely: Production Rate, pre O2
Kappa number, alkaline charge (kg / ADT), oxygen charge (kg / ADT), COD inlet
Reactor (mg / L), Process temperature (oC) , Pressure (Bar), Reactor consistency
inlet and dilution factor. Significant kappa number reduction is directly proportional
to, pre O2 Kappa number, O2 charge, alkaline charge, consistency and dilution
factor. and significantly inversely proportional to Production and COD. The results
showed that Kappa number reduction was influenced by alkaline charge, O2 charge,
COD, consistency and dilution factor, with R2 values were 0.5492 respectively;
0.6561; 0.5148; 0.4672 and 0.5154. Meanwhile the Temperature and Pressure have
been kept stable at the optimum range so that they do not appear to have an effect.
