“Pengaruh Weak Wash Liquor Terhadap Kualitas Green Liquor”
ABSTRACT
Weak wash liquor is water from the separation of lime mud washing water with
condensate B. Weak wash liquor contains a small component of sodium (Na) and
has a density similar to water, namely 1.01 - 1.04 kg / l. Weak wash liquor also has
a TTA of around 5 - 7 gpl. Green liquor is a smelt that has been dissolved by mixing
a weak wash in the dissolving tank. Smelt diluted with weak wash with certain TTA
and TSS can have a positive or negative impact on green liquor parameters. In this
final project, an analysis of the effect of weak wash on the quality of green liquor
is carried out. This observation is carried out by taking secondary data from green
liquor quality and weak wash quality in 2021. The quality of green liquor is density,
temperature, TSS and TTA, while weak wash is TSS and TTA then analyzed the
effect of adding weak wash on green liquor quality. From the results of this analysis,
it is found that a high TTA weak wash can increase TTA and the density of green
liquor and TTA green liquor can increase with the high temperature of the green
liquor. The quality of green liquor is not significantly affected by the addition of
weak wash but the combustion process in the furnace which greatly affects the
quality of the green liquor.
