“Pengaruh Dosis dan Strength ClO2 pada Dhot Reaktor terhadap Nilai Brightness”
ABSTRACT
Chlorine Dioxide is a bleaching agent which will only affect the lignin and give
high Brightness to the pulp without weakening its strength. The Dhot bleaching
stage is the first stage of bleaching on fiber line 3 using the chemical Chlorine
Dioxide. This final project analyzed the effect of dose and strength of ClO2 on the
Dhot reactor on the value of pulp brightness. Observations were made by taking
secondary data from the Technical Department of PT. RAPP for 2 months. Based
on these data, it was found that the higher the ClO2 charge, the higher the
brightness, 13 kg/ADT ClO2 Charge brightness obtained 67% ISO. The Dhot
65% ISO brightness target can be achieved if the use of ClO2 strength is around
9.6 gL, pulp consistency is 11%, temperature is 80-85°C, pH 2.4 – 2.6, with a
reaction time of 60 minutes.
