ABSTRACT
PT. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper is one of the industries engaged as a producer
of pulp in the form of kraft pulp that is required to always improve its
performance. Performance improvement is manifested in the improvement of
productivity and efficiency of the company. Pt. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper is
inseparable from the problem of increased productivity and machine efficiency in
the factory. In one day of production and under normal circumstances (fiberline 2
is not in a state of startup or shutdown) has a total production target of 85-87
times the ripen completed in a day. However, in the field of production does not
always reach the desired target it requires more effective and efficient measures to
overcome and prevent problems that result in low productivity with the evaluation
of digester performance. The purpose of evaluating digester performance to find
problems in digesters and their causes, as well as analyzing the root causes of
cooking decrease problems using root cause analysis method. In February there
are 3 days in which the total production of cooking decreases, namely on
February 19, 20, and 21, 2021, will be conducted checks on the causes of the
