Pengaruh Variasi Putaran Tabung Ball Milling Menggunakan Bola Keramik Terhadap Suseptibilitas Magnetik Oksida Besi Pasir Sungai Rokan
Ujungbatu City, Riau Province has been carried out using Pasco Magnetic Probe
PS-2162 and Ball Milling method. Samples were prepared using Ball Milling for
10 hours as a function of vial rotation of 100 rpm, 150 rpm and 200 rpm. The
results showed that the average value of the magnetic susceptibility of Rokan
River natural sand before and after being separated using an Iron Sand Separator
(ISS) increased from (3,358.700- 3,476.205) x 10-5 to be 7,495.665 x 10-5 this
value shows the content of the samples were Ilmenite (FeTiO3) and there are
several Hematite (Fe2O3) materials. The average value of magnetic susceptibility
is 10,220.775 x 10-5 for 100 rpm tube milling rotation, 12,487.564 x 10-5 for 150
rpm tube milling rotaion and 13,868.307 x 10-5 for 200 rpm tube milling rotation.
Based on the analysis of the magnetic susceptibility value of ball milling products,
it shows the main compound content of Ilmenite (FeTiO3).
