Pengukuran Kandungan Rendemen Buah Kelapa Sawit Menggunakan Metode Impedansi
Today, Indonesia has an area of oil palm plantations and is the number one producer
of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in the world, which is around 24 million tons / year, which
meets 47% of the world's vegetable oil needs. Production of fruit with good quantity
is able to produce 23.2−27.4% CPO oil content. Farmers find it difficult to know
the level of oil content in oil palm fruit due to limited measuring instruments, while
the selling price of palm oil depends on the oil content. In this study, an electronic
impedance circuit with an excitation voltage source from a multi I / O Card PCI
6251 National Instrument based on LabVIEW software was developed which will
measure the impedance, real, imaginary and phase angle values of the oil content
of the oil palm fruit. The process of measuring the impedance of oil palm fruit is
carried out by injecting an AC current using copper electrodes into the palm fruit
where the frequency parameters ranging from 10 Hz to 50KHz are varied using
LabVIEW software. Measurements were made using tenera-type palms with time
variations of 0 hours, 4 hours, and 8 hours and it was found that the impedance
value is increasing with time. This is due to the increase in FFA in oil palm fruit.
Measuring the real value using the same time variation shows that the real value
also increases. The real value was found to be almost the same as the impedance
value. Measuring the imaginary value using the same time variation, the imaginary
value decreases relative to time. The imaginary value is negative for capacitive
samples. Measurement of the phase angle using the same time variation at a
frequency of 50 kHz, the phase angles are -85.550, -84.390, and -87.2 0 with the
angle values being in quadrant IV. Measurements were made by varying the
amplitude of the PCI voltage to the impedance with variations of 100 mV, 500 mV,
1 V, 1.5 V, and 2 V. It was found that the impedance value increases with the
increase in the voltage amplitude value. Research was also carried out with
variations of the Tenera, Dura, and Psifera palms. The highest impedance value was
obtained in Psifera type palms and the lowest was in the Tenera type. Validation
was carried out on oil content with measured impedance values by extracting oil
palm fruit. The impedance value increases with the increase in the percentage of oil
palm oil content (RKS).
