Efektivitas Teknik Relaksasi Nafas Dalam Dan Aromaterapi Lavender Terhadap Penurunan Tingkat Kecemasan Mahasiswa Sebelum Menghadapi Ujian Skill Laboratory
Students are individuals who are susceptible to anxiety. One factor
that causes anxiety to students is when facing the laboratory skill test, because in
the laboratory skill test requires skills and expertise. Deep breath technique and
aromatherapy lavender are a combination intervention that effectively reduces
anxiety. Purpose: This study is to determine the effectiveness of deep breath
relaxation and aromatherapy lavender on the levels of student anxiety before
facing the laboratory skill test at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Riau.
Method: The research method used by quasy experiments with the pretestposttest
with control group design. The study sample amounted to 34 people
divided into 17 experimental groups and 17 control groups taken based on
inclusion criteria using Simple Random Sampling Techniques. The research
measuring instrument used a standardized questionnare S-AI (State Anxiety
Inventory) from Y-1 which measures the level of anxiety with a score of 1-80 with
validity value of 0,76-0,78 and s reliability value of 0,93.. The analysis used is
univariate and bivariate analysis using the Dependent Sample T test and
Independent Sample T test. Result: Average level of posttest anxiety in the
experiental group and the control group was 31.18 and 49.29. The results of the
