Pengaruh Pemberian Seduhan Rebusan Mahkota Dewa (Phaleria Macrocarpa) Dan Daun Pandan Wangi (Pandanus Amaryllifolius Roxb) Terhadap Gula Darah Pada Penderita Diabetes Melitus (Dm)
Mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa) and fragrant pandan leaves
(Pandanus amaryllifolius roxb) are herbal plants that contain active substances
that play a role in reducing blood sugar levels. Mahkota dewa contains saponins,
terpenoids, tannins, fephenols, flavonoids, and alkaloids while the pandan leaves
contain tannins, alkaloids and flavonoids. This study aims to determine the effect
of steeping the decoction of the mahkota dewa and the pandan wangi leaf on
blood sugar in people with diabetes mellitus (DM). Methods: This study used a
Quasy Experiment design. Respondents in this study were 15 patients diagnosed
with DM with blood sugar levels 200 at the Rejosari Health Center, the research
sample was taken based on inclusion criteria using purposive sampling technique.
The analysis used univariate analysis to see the frequency distribution and
bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results of statistical tests
showed that there was an effect of steeping the decoction of the mahkota dewa
and the pandan wangi leaves on blood sugar in patients with diabetes mellitus
(DM) with p value (0.000) < alpha (0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of
steeping the stew of mahkota dewa and pandan wangi leaves on blood sugar levels
of people with diabetes mellitus (DM) in the working area of Rejosari Health
Center Pekanbaru.
