Hubungan Kejadian Sepsis Berdasarkan Skor Pediatric Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (Psofa) Dengan Mortalitas Pada Pasien Anak Yang Dirawat Di Picu Rsud Arifin Achmad
Sepsis has 25% incidence of patients admitted to the pediatric
intensive care unit (PICU). This study aims to determine the relationship between
Pediatric Sequential Organ Failure Assessment Score (PSOFA) with mortality in
pediatric treated in PICU of Arifin Achmad Hospital. Methods: This research is a
retrospective study using purposive sampling technique. The research sample was
89 respondents with inclusion criteria, pediatric patients aged 1 month-17 years,
PICU length of stay > 24 hours, complete laboratory results available. The
exclusion criteria were patients with chronic diseases with malignancy,
hematological abnormalities, congenital heart, lung, congenital anomalies of
kidney and unreadable laboratory data. The data were taken from medical records
of patients treated in the PICU from January 2019 to December 2020. The
analysis used was bivariate analysis by chi-square. Results: The majority of
respondents were male 57 respondents (64%), infant age (0-11 months) 33
respondents (37.1%), length of stay ≥3 days 64 respondents (71.9%) and
distribution of respondents according to medical diagnosis postsurgical recovery
37 respondents (41.6%), the majority were sepsis 45 respondents (50.6%) and
were discharged from the PICU with living conditions 74 respondents (83.1%).
