Analisis Kesalahan Peserta Didik SMA/MA Dalam Mengerjakan Soal Stoikiometri Berdasarkan Prosedur Newman
Students' understanding of stoichiometric material can be seen from the average value of student learning outcomes at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru and SMAN 8 Pekanbaru which is still below the standard set by the school. This study aims to determine the types and causes of errors made by high school students in working on stoichiometry questions based on the Newman procedure. The form of research used by the author is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection methods are interviews and tests. Based on the results of the study, the types and causes of students' errors in working on stoichiometry questions based on the Newman procedure, the error patterns experienced by many students were misunderstanding the problem, transformation errors, skills and final answers. This error occurs because students do not master enough material and hurry to answer stoichiometry questions.
