Pengaruh Bukaan Ventilasi Udara Dapur Terhadap Kualitas Udara Ruangan Dari Pembakaran Briket Tandan Kosong Sawit (Tks)
ABSTRACT
Empty palm bunches as solid waste from the processing of fresh fruit bunches
have the potential to be used as renewable energy source in the form of biomass
briquettes. This can be seen form the thermal energy of empty palm bunche is
20.093 kJ/kg (Mardiansyah, 2015). However, the burning of empty palm bunches
briquettes can effect indoor air quality, so need to do study test pollutant from
burning empty palmbunches for household scale. In this study, the gas pollutant
from burning empty palm bunches briquettes will be test by use the adsorbent
method with impinger. The test result will be correlated with variation of the
ventilation as the research variable, where the variations used are 5%, 10% and
15% of the floor surface area and will be compared with quality standards
PerMenKes No. 1077 tahun 2011. The result of the burning test at ventilation 5%
are 7,38 ppm CO, 0,16 ppm SO2 and 0,12 ppm NO2. The result at ventilation 10%
are 5,33 ppm CO, 0,106 ppm SO2 and 0,05 ppm NO2. The result at ventilation
15% are 4,75 ppm CO, 0,09 ppm SO2 and 0,033 ppm NO2. The result of this study
also found that there was effect of ventilation variations on pollutan
gassesresulting from burning empty palm bunches briquettes, where only the
ventilaton 15% test results were below quality standards.
