Penggunaan Strategi Metakognitif Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Fkip Universitas Riau
Metacognitive strategy is one of the strategies used by foreign language learners, especially Japanese learners that involves focusing on learning, planning and evaluation. The purpose of this study was to find out how metacognitive strategies are used and see if there are differences in the use of metacognitive strategies between the three forces. The method in this study is descriptive quantitative. Instruments in the study used a questionnaire with the Likert Scale. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistical analysis and conduct one-way-anova tests with the help of the SPSS Program to look for differences from the three forces. The results showed that all indicators of metacognitive strategies belonged to the high category. On the learning focus indicator obtained results with an average value (3.51); planning indicators (3.51) and on evaluation indicators (3.57). Based on the results of the one way-anova test obtained a sig value of 0.004, then the data obtained differed significantly because the sig value > 0.05. Japanese language education students use metacognitive strategies evenly both in terms of learning focus, planning and evaluation and based on test results there are differences in the use of metacognitive strategies between the three forces. This is due to the use of metacognitive strategies that are influenced by differences in the characteristics of the learner level such as motivation from within the learner, such as the interest of learners in using metacognitive strategies in their learning.
