ABSTRACT
Corruption is the enemy of every country in the world. The impact or
consequences of this corruption are very numerous and can touch areas of life.
Corruption is a serious problem, this crime can endanger the stability and
security of society, endanger development, as well as politics, and can also
damage democratic values and morality because gradually this act seems to
become a culture. Judging from the high rate of corruption in the village
government environment from year to year and the size of the village revenue
budget, the question is how the village government prevents corruption, both in
policy making, budget allocation, and in policy implementation. So that the fear of
some people against the implementation of the village law can run well and avoid
corruption. This study aims to determine the efforts to prevent corruption in the
district of Reteh, Indragiri Hilir district and the obstacles to efforts to prevent
corruption in the district of Reteh, Indragiri Hilir district. The type of research
used in writing this law is sociological legal research. Meanwhile, if viewed from
the nature of this research is descriptive.

This research was conducted in Reteh sub-district, Indragiri Hilir district.
The results of the research obtained in terms of efforts to prevent
corruption in the Reteh sub-district, Indragiri Hilir district are the village
government taking prevention in the form of transparency, inviting the community
to develop villages, increasing the role of supervision. The obstacles to preventing
Corruption Crimes in Reteh sub-district, Indragiri Hilir district are the lack of
community participation regarding community participation in preventing
Corruption Crimes and the lack of role of the Badan Musyawarah Desa (BPD).
