Strategi Dinas Pariwisata Dalam Mengelola Istana Siak Sri Indrapura Di Era Pandemi Covid-19

The palace is one of the kingdoms with a Malay style located in Riau,
Siak Sri Indrapura Regency. In March 2020 a pneumonia case entered Indonesia
which caused all tourism access to be temporarily closed, including tourism at the
Siak Sri Indrapura Palace. The purpose of this research is (1) to find out the
condition of the Siak Sri Indrapura palace tourism in the Covid-19 pandemic era,
(2) to find out the management strategy of the Siak Sri Indrapura palace before the
Covid-19 pandemic, (3) to find out policies in the Covid-19 pandemic era. during
tourism at the Siak Sri Indrapura Palace. In this study the author uses a qualitative
method. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation.
Data analysis uses analysis components, namely data reduction, data presentation
of data verification. Starting with the initial arrival of Covid-19 to the Siak Palace
which made tourism closed, so the Tourism Office made a strategy which was to
increase tourism visits during the pandemic, whether it was promoting through
social media such as Instagram and Facebook. And make a policy to temporarily
close Siak Palace tourism, and be allowed to open when it enters the New Normal.
And make a policy to continue to prioritize health protocols for visitors who want
to go to the Siak Palace.
