This paper is a scientific paper that discusses the Langgeng Village Unit
Cooperative located in Marsawa Village, Sentajo Raya District, Kuantan Singingi
Regency with historical research methods that aim to determine the initial process of
the establishment of the Langgeng Village Unit Cooperative, the development of the
Langgeng Village Unit Cooperative and the role of the Langgeng Village Unit
Cooperative. Langgeng Village for the people of Marsawa Village. The Langgeng
Village Unit Cooperative was formed based on the joint desire of the Marsawa
Village community to be able to live more prosperously. The Langgeng Village Unit
Cooperative is an economic institution that was established in 1981 with an initial
capital of salted fish, the development of the Langgeng Village Unit Cooperative
from its inception to 2019 has led the community towards a better life along with the
various achievements obtained by the Langgeng Village Unit Cooperative. The role
of the Langgeng Village Unit Cooperative for the Marsawa Village community can
be felt, which includes various aspects, both in terms of economy, social and
educational aspects. The existence of the Langgeng Village Unit Cooperative is very
meaningful for the Marsawa Village community because it has led the community to
a more prosperous life in accordance with the initial goal in the form of the Langgeng
Village Unit Cooperative.
