Disfemisme Dalam Tuturan Masyarakat Kecamatan Kepulauan Posek Kabupaten Lingga Provinsi Kepulauan Riau
The purpose of this study is to describe the form and function of
dysphemism in the speech of the people of the Posek Islands District,
Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province. This study is qualitative research
with descriptive methods. The object of research is the speech of the people
of the Posek Islands District in the form of words, phrases, and
expressions. The data was taken directly from the speech of the people of
the Posek Islands District, which is determined to be five informants. The
data were collected through interview method followed by basic techniques
in the form of fishing rods, followed by advanced techniques, namely faceto-
face and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed by reading
each data obtained carefully, classifying data based on the form and
function of dysphemism, presenting data based on the form and function of
dysphemism. The results of this study indicate that there are three forms of
dysphemism, namely in the form of words, phrases, and expressions. There
are five functions of dysphemism, namely as a statement to show something
that is taboo or indecent, as a statement to show disrespect or demeaning
others, as a statement to swear or curse, as a statement to show dislike or
disapproval of someone or something, and as a statement to ridicule,
reproach, or insult.
