Partisipasi Masyarakat Dalam Pengembangan Kepariwisataan Kelurahan Agrowisata Di Kota Pekanbaru

Agrowisata Urban Village, Rumbai sub-district, Pekanbaru City is an urban
village area that is used as an integrated agricultural sector area and the prospect of
a superior agrotourism area that can improve the community's economy. Community
involvement in the development of agrotourism is expected to be able to develop
positive interactions in various activities to maintain the existence of tourist objects.
The agrotourism development model states that local communities as farmers are an
important component that needs to be included in every aspect of development.
Agrowisata Urban Village has a population of 4,167 people, of which almost 75% of
the population earn their living as farmers and husbandries. The purpose of this
research is to find out and observe community participation in the development of
tourism in the Agrowisata Urban Village in Pekanbaru City. This research method
uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, as well as collecting data
obtained through observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed based on
the problems found in the research. The findings of this research show that the
tourism activities developed are currently running, but the management of the
agrotourism destination area has not been maximized. The inhibiting factors are
human resources (HR), limited funds and the COVID-19 pandemic.
