Peran Dinas Ketahanan Pangan Dalam Mencapai Optimalisasi Kerja Pegawai Di Kota Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the role of the Food Security Service in Achieving Employee
Work Optimization in Pekanbaru City and to determine the inhibiting factors of the Food
Security Service's role in Achieving Employee Work Optimization in Pekanbaru City.
Problems in this study include: the quantity and quality of employees is not optimal, the
facilities and infrastructure are not yet adequate, the cessation of education in the form of
technical guidance, and the provision of services is not optimal. Organizational Role Theory
(ORT) Biddle, 1986; Madsen, 2002 . This theory states that there are indicators in the role of
organizations that have 4 dimensions to achieve employee work optimization, namely: Role
Taking, Role Consensus, Role Compliance and Role Conflict. The research method in this
research is qualitative. The results of the research are that the department uses data as a point
of view of community needs, the lack of functional apparatus and several other positions as
well as an inadequate database for one-door work, this deficiency is directly related to nonoptimal
work results. This is certainly very influential in the work (services) provided by the
Pekanbaru City Food Security Service.
