Studi Komparatif Aspek Biologi Reproduksi Ikan Motan (Thynnichthys Thynnoides Bleeker, 1852) Di Danau Teluk Petai Dan Danau Tanjung Kudu Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
Abstract
Thynnichthys thynnoides is a type of freshwater fish that commonly inhabit the
Teluk Petai Lake and Tanjung Kudu Lake, Kampar Regency. This study aims to understand
the reproductive biology of T. thynnoides and has been conducted from December 2020-
January 2021. The fish was sampled 4 times, twice/month. Parameters measured were
sexual characteristics, sex ratio, gonad maturity level, gonad somatic index (GSI),
fecundity and egg diameter. Results shown that there were 100 fishes (consisting of 30
males and 70 females) from the Teluk Petai Lake and 100 fishes (consisting of 44 males
and 56 females) were collected from the Tanjung Kudu Lake. Sex ratio of the fish from the
Teluk Petai Lake was 1:2, Gonado Somatic Index (GSI) was range from 0.00-12.58%, the
level of gonad maturity was ranged from II-V, the average of fecundity was 2.485-4.764
eggs/fish and the egg diameter was 0.40-0.90 mm. While those of the fish from the Tanjung
Kudu Lake were 1:1; GSI 0.00-12,26%, the maturity levels were I-V, fecundity 3,494–
7,135 eggs/fish and egg diameter 0.43-0.83 mm. The eggs distributed evenly and it
indicates that the fish is a total spawner.
