Abstrak
Microplastics in the Koto Panjang Dam may orginated from the degraded
plastic waste and maybe accidentally engulfed as fish swallowing their food. A
research aims to determine microplastics in Pristolepis grooti in the Koto
Panjang Dam in December 2020 - February 2021. The method used in this study
is the survey method, in the Koto Panjang Dam are used as research sites.
purchased from fishermen as objects of microplastic research. The results showed
that the types of microplastics found in Pristolepos grooti were film, fiber,
fragments. Result show the highest type of microplastic found in the stomach of
the fish was films (1,6 particles/fish), followed by fibers (0,36 particles/fish) and
fragment (0,7 particles/fish).
