Kandungan Senyawa Bioaktif Dan Aktivitas Antiokasidan Dari Fraksi Ekstrak Rumput Laut Hijau (Caulerpa Lentillifera)
ABSTRACT
Caulerpa lentillifera is a species of green seaweed known as sea grape. C.
lentillifera contains bioactive compounds that act as natural antioxidants as
secondary metabolites. This study aims to determine the content of bioactive
compounds and antioxidant activity of green seaweed (C.lentillifera). The
experimental research method was a series of studies involving the extraction of C.
lentillifera with methanol as a solvent. The methanol extract was fractionated using
organic solvents with different polarities consisting of n-hexane (non-polar), ethyl
acetate (semi-polar) and polar butanol. The analysis parameters consisted of
qualitative identification of bioactive compounds (alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids,
saponins and phenolics) and antioxidant activity using the DPPH method from each
resulting fraction. The results showed that the bioactive compounds in C. lentillifera
from the n-hexane fraction were flavonoids, steroids/terpenoids, and phenolics,
ethyl acetate alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids/terpenoids and phenolic fractions and
in thebutanol fraction were flavonoids, steroids/terpenoids, and phenolic
compounds. phenolic. The antioxidant activity of C. lentillifera with IC50 values
of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and butanol fractions was 157.653, 104.480, and 320,537
ppm, respectively. The bioactive compounds produced from the extract fraction of
C. lentillefera with n-polar, semi-polar solvents are the same except that the
alkaloids are only produced in semi-polar solvents. The ethyl acetate extract
fraction of C. lentillifera had higher antioxidant activity than n-hexane and butanol.
