ABSTRACT
Aromatherapy candles are an alternative application for inhalation, namely the inhalation of
aromatic vapors produced from a few drops of essential oil. The aroma used is coffee essential
oil obtained from maceration extraction of Liberika coffee beans with a yield of 19.7 ml and a
yield of 2.9% -3.12%. This study aims to see the color, assess the aroma of candles before
burning, after the candles are burned and calculate the capital price of aromatherapy candles.
The variations used were without the addition of coffee essential oil (0 ml / control), the addition
of 3 ml, 5 ml and 7 ml coffee essential oil. The best color assessment is found in the addition of 5
ml coffee essential oil which is preferred by 100% of panelists to produce a yellowish white
color. The best aroma before burning is found in the addition of 5 ml of coffee essential oil,
preferably 100% of panelists to produce coffee aroma. The best after-burn aroma is found in the
addition of 5 ml coffee essential oil which is preferred by 100% panelists to produce coffee
aroma. the capital price of 1 candle is Rp. 2,688.
