This study discusses the history of the development of catfish processing
centers in Koto Mesjid Village, Kampar Regency. catfish in Koto Mesjid Village,
Kampar Regency (2012-2019), 3) to determine the impact of a catfish processing
center on the socio-economic life of processing groups in Koto Mesjid Village,
Kampar Regency. In this study using the historical method. The results of this study
are the history of the establishment of this center, which was built in 2008 and started
to operate in 2012, the purpose of establishing the center is because people who have
businesses in the field of fisheries, especially catfish, who are members of several
groups, are united in an integrated area that is equipped with facilities that support the
center. . For the development of catfish processing centers, it can be seen from three
aspects, namely the name of the processing group that joins every two years, then the
addition of facilities or infrastructure and the total production data of the processing
group which if seen every year always increases or increases, whether it is the
processing group that joins, infrastructure and total production. As for the impact of
the catfish processing center on the socio-economic life of the processing group, if
from a social point of view the existence of the center, Koto Mesjid Village is known
to outsiders for processed catfish and the potential in the field of fisheries, especially
catfish so that it has a designation as a catfish village then from an economic
perspective. have the same answer and purpose, namely increasing income and very
helpful in the economic field for processing groups.
