Gambaran Efikasi Diri Pada Mahasiswa Baru Fakultas Keperawatan Unri Di Masa Pandemi Covid-19
New students have confidence in their abilities to improve cognitive,
self-motivation, actions needed to successfully carry out certain tasks. This ability is
one of the efforts made to overcome failure in carrying out coursework called selfefficacy.
The purpose of this study was to determine the description of self-efficacy in
new students of the Faculty of Nursing, the University of Riau in the COVID-19
Pandemic. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive research design and the
analysis was used in univariate analysis. The number of samples in this study was 134
new students of A 2020 Faculty of Nursing, Riau University based on inclusion criteria
using a total sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a self-efficacy
questionnaire via google form consisting of 23 statements that had been tested for
validity with r count 0,547-0,820 > r table (0,444). Results: The results showed that
73 respondents (54.5%) were in the high self-efficacy category. 81 respondents
(60.4%) were in the category of high self-efficacy related to the level of task difficulty
(magnitude), and 73 respondents (54.5%) are in the category of high self-efficacy
related to the degree of stability and confidence or hope (strength), while 99
respondents (73.9%) are in the category of high self-efficacy related to the broad field
of behavior (generality). Conclusion: The self-efficacy of new students of the Faculty
of Nursing, University of Riau is in the category of high self-efficacy, and the highest
category is self-efficacy related to the generality dimensions. This research is expected
to be a reference material for nursing institutions related to the charateristics of selfefficacy
during the COVID-19 pandemic.
