Eksplorasi Dan Karakterisasi Parsial Aktinomisetes Dari Tanah Mangrove Di Kuala Enok Kecamatan Tanah Merah Indragiri Hilir Riau
Mangrove forests are forests that grow in brackish water and are affected
by the tides of the sea. Actinomycetes are Gram-positive bacteria that have the
ability to adapt in various environmental conditions. The purpose of this study
was to explore and characterize actinomycetes using several pre-treatment
samples to obtain actinomycetes from mangrove soils in Kuala Enok, Tanah
Merah Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency including microscopic, macroscopic,
and biochemical tests. Soil samples were taken from two types of mangroves,
Sonneratia alba Sm. and Avicennia alba Blume, which were distributed from six
different points. Soil samples performed pre-treatment included control (without
pre-treatment), wet heat, dry heat, and 1.5% phenol. Isolation of actinomyisetes
without pre-treatment using the pour plate method with the medium Starch Casein
Agar (SCA), obtained 6 isolates of actinomycetes with diverse morphological
characteristics of colonies. Microscopic characteristics with slip culture
techniques show closed spiral type spore chains. In the gram coloring technique
shows purple fiber-shaped cells. Biochemical tests on this study showed each
isolate had a diverse ability to react chemical compounds.
