Analisis Faktor Produksi Hasil Tangkapan Pada Alat Tangkap Gill Net Di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Tiku Kabupaten Agam Provinsi Sumatera Barat
ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in May 2021 at PPI Tiku, Tanjung Mutiara
District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. This study aims to identify the
production factors that influence the gill net fishing gear on the catch. The method
used in this study is a survey method and analyzed descriptively.
Gillnets are fishing gear made of rectangular nets with the same mesh size.
Gillnet fishing gear is one of the most widely used fishing gear at PPI Tiku. This
fishing gear is a potential fishing tool and is easy to operate by fishermen. Judging
from the data on the development of gillnet fishing gear operated at PPI Tiku in
the last 4 years, it has increased every year, namely in 2015 the number of gillnet
fishing gear operating at PPI Tiku was 38 units, in 2016 as many as 46 units, in
2017 as many as 52 units and in 2018 as many as 54 units.
Based on the results of research data analysis, production factors can
simultaneously affect the catch of gillnet fishermen at PPI Tiku by 45.3% while
the remaining 54.7% is influenced by other variables not used in the study. The
production factors for gillnet fishing gear at PPI Tiku that have a positive impact
on the catch are the length of the net (X1), the number of settings (X4), the
experience of the fishermen (X5), and the length of the fishing trip (X7).
Meanwhile, net height (X2), mesh size (X3), and number of crew members (X6)
are negative. Partially where the length of the net has a significant effect.
Meanwhile, high net power (X2), mesh size (X3), number of settings (X4),
experience of fishermen (X5), number of crew members (X6) and length of
fishing trip (X7) did not have a significant effect on the catch of gillnet fishermen
in PPI Tiku in Tanjung Mutiara District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province.
