ABSTRACT
The study was conducted from February 25 to March 3, 2019 in the
Bungus Village, Bungus Teluk Kabung Subdistrict, West Sumatra Province. The
main catches contained two types of fish, namely Anchovy (Stolephorus sp) and
Maco (Leiognathus dussumieri) and by-catch there were 7 species, namely
Goatfishes (Upeneus moiluccensi), Squid (Mastigoteuthis flammea), Sword
(Xiphias gadius), Moonfish (Mene maculata), Kurisi (Nemitarus nematophorus),
Yellowstripe Scad (Selaruides leptolepis), and Kapas-kapas (Geres punctatus).
The number of catches in the morning is smaller than the catches in the afternoon,
seen from the type of catch that is caught in the morning is the same as the catch
in the afternoon.
