Identifikasi Tanaman Rambutan (Nephelium Lappaceum L.) Lokal Kabupaten Bengkalis Berdasarkan Karakter Morfologi

ABSTRACT
Eventhogh rambutan is originating from Indonesia, its variability tent to decrease
doe to farmer selection to plant marketable varieties. So, the objectives of this study
whose to determine the diversity of ceveral morphological characteristic and to look for
the relationship between relative of rambutan plants in Bengkalis Regency. Thirtyone
plants were chosen by purpossive random sampling in five districts of Bengkalis
Regency. Every plant was identifite its morfological caracteristic ingcluding leaves,
flower, fruit, and seed caracteristics. In general, most leaves, flower,fruit and seed
caracteristic head low to moderate variability. Tree caracteristic ingcluding canopy type
growth habits and leaves length had wide variability. Cluster analisis indicated that
thirtyone plants were difided in to three groub. Group one consisted of two plant,
group two consisted of 11 plants and group three consisted of 18 plant.
