Analisis Pengaruh Ketidakseimbangan Beban Terhadap Efisiensi Transformator Distribusi.
ABSTRACT
Over time, the demand for electricity in Indonesia continues to grow. In order to
meet the needs of efficient electricity, PT PLN (Persero) is required to design a
balanced distribution of electric power in each phase. However, in reality, load
imbalances often occur in the distribution of electric power. This is because even
though the distribution of the load in the initial process is evenly distributed, the
use of electrical energy on the customer's side is not always the same when it is
activated, making the electrical loading of each phase unbalanced. As for a
balanced distribution system, in the neutral conductor there is no current or a
value of 0 when direct measurements are made. However, for an unbalanced
system, a current will appear in the neutral conductor so that it will cause energy
losses in the conductor. In analyzing these problems, mathematical calculations
are used including the calculation of the percentage of transformer loading,
transformer load imbalance, transformer losses and transformer efficiency. From
the calculation results, it is found that the lowest efficiency occurs when the load
imbalance is high. In conditions of high load imbalance, current will flow in the
neutral wire and cause losses whose value is proportional to the value of the
neutral current. These energy losses will lead to lower transformer efficiency.
This is evidenced by research that has been carried out on the distribution
transformer of PLN (Persero) ST 009 on October 29, 2021 with data obtained at
21.00, the load imbalance is 10.88% with a neutral current of 96 A and at 22.00,
the imbalance the load is 7.2% and the neutral current is worth 74 A. So the
losses that occur at 21.00 are greater than at 22.00 which further results in the
efficiency at 21.00 being smaller than at 22.00 with each efficiency value of 94,
91% compared to 96.04%.
