cases of child abuse in pekanbaru city from 2019 to january to september 2021 have
increased. this of course will have a negative impact on the development of children as the next
generation of the nation and the region. upt ppa pekanbaru city has made efforts as well as services
and actions to handle victims of child abuse. many of the harmful effects of sexual abuse on
children, which can affect the psychological, physical, and social. how are the roles and obstacles
faced by the technical implementation Unit For The Protection Of Women And Children (UPT
PPA) Of Pekanbaru City In Handling Child Abuse In Pekanbaru City In 2019-2021
the purpose of this study is to describe the technical implementation unit for the protection
of women and children (upt ppa) in pekanbaru city in handling child abuse in pekanbaru city in
2019-2021 and identify problems faced by UPT PPA pekanbaru city in handling child abuse in
pekanbaru city in 2019- 2021. the research method used is qualitative research. this type of
research is descriptive qualitative. the research location is at upt ppa pekanbaru city. data collection
techniques by means of interviews and documentation. techniques of data analysis by means of
qualitative research analysis is carried out by organizing the data, breaking it down into units,
synthesizing it, compiling it into a pattern, choosing which ones are important and which ones will
be studied.
the results of the study indicate that the technical implementation Unit For The Protection
Of Women And Children (UPT PPA) Of Pekanbaru City In Handling Child Abuse In Pekanbaru
City In 2019-2021 has not run optimally, this is because there are several inhibiting factors in the
stages of handling sexual abuse victims, namely lack of facilities and infrastructure in temporary
shelter services, and counselor assistance in identifying the problems of victims who are still
traumatized
