Studi Kandungan Bahan Organik Pada Perairan Sekitar Aktivitas Keramba Jaring Apung (Kja) Berlapis Di Waduk Plta Koto Panjang Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
Fish farming activities in floating net cages (KJA) produce residual feed and
metabolism which will increase organic matter in the waters. Efforts to control the
reduction of KJA cultivation are the application of the IMTA (Integrated Multi
Trophic Aquaculture) cultivation system. This study aims to determine the content
of organic matter in the Koto Panjang PLTA Reservoir, especially in areas where
there are Layered Floating Cages (KJA). Sampling was carried out at three
stations, namely station 1 (no KJA), station 2 (layered floating net cage), and
station 3 (conventional floating net cage). Sampling was carried out 3 times with
an interval of 10 days. The water quality parameters measured were BOD and
TOM. The results of the study were BOD values ranging from 9.79 to 18.82 mg/l
and TOM values ranging from 10.95 to 17.7 mg/l. Floating net cages have
affected the TOM and BOD values. The TOM and BOD values at each station
increase with increasing depth. Based on the analysis of TOM and BOD5, the
organic matter in the waters of the PLTA Koto Panjang reservoir does not meet
the quality standards for fishery activities.
