Estimasi Musim Penangkapan Ikan Cakalang (Katsuwonus Pelamis) Menggunakan Data Hasil Tangkapan Yang Didaratkan Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Bungus Provinsi Sumatera Barat

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the catch of skipjack tuna per unit of effort
(CPUE) and analyze the season of skipjack catching that landed at the Bungus
Ocean Fishing Port, West Sumatra Province. The research method used in this
research is survey method and data analysis is done by descriptive analysis. The
analysis carried out is analysis of catch per unit of effort (CPUE) and analysis of
fishing season patterns. The results showed that the fishing fleet that caught
skipjack tuna were boat lift boats, tugboats and purse seine ships. With different
ship sizes (GT). The results showed that the catch and effort to catch skipjack tuna
fluctuated. So that the monthly CPUE value of skipjack tuna for 5 years also
fluctuates. The CPUE value of skipjack tuna varies with the highest value in 2017
and the lowest in 2020. The peak season for skipjack tuna occurs in April, May,
July, August and November. The medium season for skipjack tuna occurs in
February, March, June and December. And the famine season for skipjack tuna
occurs in January, September and October. So skipjack fishing should be done in
February, March, April, May, June, July, August, November and December.
Catching skipjack tuna is not good in January, September and October.
