The means of mass public transportation in Pekanbaru City is Trans Metro
Pekanbaru. As a means of mass public transportation, of course, it has standards
in the operation of Trans Metro Pekanbaru. The Trans Metro Pekanbaru stop is a
very important supporting facility to make public mass transportation such as
Trans Metro Pekanbaru run well. The implementation of the Regulation of the
Minister of Transportation Number 10 of 2012 concerning Minimum Service
Standards for Road-Based Mass Transportation in Pekanbaru City became the
basis for supporting facilities for Trans Metro Pekanbaru shelters based on several
articles contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 10
of 2012 concerning Minimum Service Standards of Mass-Based Transportation.
The road in the article has the aim of making the public using Trans Metro
Pekanbaru, especially the Trans Metro Pekanbaru shelter, become; Safe,
Convenient and Organized.
The research approach used is qualitative research. This type of research is
descriptive qualitative. The location of this research is the UPTD PAP of the
Pekanbaru City Transportation Service and the Pekanbaru City DPRD, especially
Commission 4 for Infrastructure. Data collection techniques by means of
observation, interviews and study documentation. Data analysis techniques by
means of data reduction, data presentation and data verification.
The results of the study indicate that the implementation of Road-Based
Minimum Service for Trans Metro Pekanbaru, especially the Trans Metro
Pekanbaru stop, has not run in accordance with several articles in the Regulation
of the Minister of Transportation Number 10 of 2012 concerning Minimum
Service Standards for Road-Based Mass Transportation. The Pekanbaru City
Transportation Service has not been able to fulfill several articles in the
Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 10 of 2012, so that the
Pekanbaru Trans Metro stop does not make prospective passengers feel safe and
comfortable at the Pekanbaru Trans Metro stop, due to several factors, namely the
lack of field supervisors at the Trans Metro stop. Metro Pekanbaru and also the
absence of new regulations regarding the Trans Metro Pekanbaru stop.
