Sintesis Komposit Hidroksiapatit-Kitosan Untuk Adsorben Limbah Zat Warna Methylene Blue Dan Methyl Orange
Composite is a material that is formed from two or more combination materials
with the result that it is resulted a composite material. Hydroxyapatite is one that
can be composited with chitosan as adsorbent dyes methylene blue and methyl
orange. The purpose of this study was to synthesize hydroxyapatite from lokan
shells (Geloina coaxans) using the microwave method with NaH2PO4 and
Ca(OH)2 precursors and for absorption with variations in chitosan mass of 10%,
20% and 30% of the mass of the hydroxyapatite composite. The results of
synthesis hydroxyapatite-chitosan is characterized using XRD, showing the
highest peak 2θ= 33.9°, FTIR shows the HAp-chitosan absorption band there is
cluster OH-, PO4
3-, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and absorption test
using UV-VIS shows for methylene blue HAp-chitosan optimum time is control
and 30% 5 minutes, 10% 50 minutes and 20% 40 minutes. Optimum
concentration of 30 ppm, HAp-chitosan 10% 10 ppm, whereas 20 and 30% 20
ppm, optimum mass 10 and 20% of 5 gram whereas 30 % 10 gram, while for
methyl orange HAp-chitosan the optimum time of is 5 minutes, 10% 30 minutes,
20% 10 minutes dan 30% 20 minutes, optimum concentration of 20 ppm,
optimum mass of control 10, 20, 30 % is 5 gram. Methylene blue follow
Langmuir and methyl orange follow the isotherms Freundlich.
