Blood glucose is the main source of energy in living organisms derived from
the end product of carbohydrate metabolism whose use is controlled by insulin.
Fasting sunnah Monday and Thursday causes a reduction in insulin secretion, which
lowers blood glucose levels. There will also be an increased of counter insulin

The release of fat from adipocytes which is oxidized to create ketones and consumed
as energy by the body. This study is a quasi-experimental study that aims to
determine the relationship between sunnah fasting on Mondays and Thursdays with
blood glucose levels of students of the Faculty of Medicine, Riau University. Blood
