Analisis Vegetasi Bambu Di Kecamatan Pangean Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau
Bamboo belongs to the Poaceae (grass) family, also called giant grass. One area
where there is no information related to bamboo vegetation analysis is Pangean
District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The topography of Pangean
District is flat and hilly with a height of about 65 meters above sea level. The type
of soil in Pangean District in the top layer is loose black and the bottom layer is
yellow. This research on analysis of bamboo vegetation was carried out in March
– June 2021. This study aimed to analyze bamboo vegetation in Pangean District,
Kuantan Singingi Regency by determining the composition and structure of
bamboo vegetation. The method used in this study is a survey method, researchers
go directly to the field to collect the necessary data by observing. The results
showed that three genera (Bambusa, Gigantochloa, and Thyrsostachys ), which
included eight species with two varieties, namely (B. vulgaris ; B. vulgaris var.
vulgaris, B. vulgaris var. striata, B. multiplex, B. glaucophylla, G. pruriens, G.
achmadi, G. kuriing, G. atter, and Thyrsostachys siamensis). Bamboo is a plant
that has many benefits for life. All parts of the plant from roots, reeds, leaves and
shoots can be used for various purposes. The dominant type of bamboo in
Pangean District is Bambusa vulgaris with an INP value of 78,61%
